To equip and engage the members of Journey Church in extending the kingdom of God in our community through service and words that reflect the love of Jesus Christ.

Vision

Have 50% of the church body serving in the Norman community.

• 18.70% of families live below poverty level
• 13.83% of individuals live below poverty level
• 137 confirmed child abuse cases in Cleveland County in 2005
• 379 confirmed child neglect cases in Cleveland County in 2005
• 1,063 annulment/ divorces in Cleveland County in 2005
• 6,290 index crimes in Cleveland County in 2004
• 686 protective orders were filed in Cleveland County in 2003
• 16.4% of youth dropped out of school in 2005 in Cleveland County
• 1,700 actual reported cases of child molestation in Oklahoma in 2006

Four Ways to Get Involved

Agency

• Through your small group or online you can sign up to serve a non-profit agency in Norman. There will be semi-annual, quarterly, monthly or weekly times available to fit your schedule.

Create-Your-Own

• If you have a desire to serve in an area that is not listed, we would love to help you get that started.

Education

• If you would like to be a coach, mentor or serve where you are (PTA, school, etc;) this is a great way to be involved with young people in our community!

Quarterly Church Wide Events

• Journey Church will also be hosting and partnering in four major church wide events for you to be involved in!
